Anyone else tired of these on field loud mouthed screaming announcers after only a few minutes?
College Football Championship Announcers
It's on at least 4 different ESPN's. The one you're talking about lasted around 5 seconds, VERY annoying.
I muted them. They just spew the obvious.
The TCU fans are getting pretty quiet......

McAfee aka Colts punter is only there because he became a celebrity during Covid as a podcaster. His anti-vaxx, conservative slant isn't my cup of tea. He appeals to the younger Gen X audience. Pat get out of the halter top.
Fowler and Herbstreit aren't the worst.
The game is a stinker gotta go find an old movie on TCM.
Haven't been paying too much attention but Herbstreit is usually pretty good
When was the last time the big game was this one-sided? Does the "new" playoff system need a tweak or two?
sdandrea1 Most years the difference between just the 1 and 4 team can be pretty big. Apparently this year it was also big between 1 and 3. Add that the Georgia coach is a veteran of many national championship games and that it’s all new for TCU and it’s worse. TCU knows how to come back, but it looks pretty hopeless right now.
Time for a mercy rule and call it a day.
TCU eked out a lot of wins this year against a weak average B12. When they lose to K St for the B12 championship they should have been bounced.....it's just that this year Bama lost twice. It would have been a great playoff 1/Ga v 4/Bama and 2/Mich v 3/Oh. St. .... and a likely Ohio St./ Georgia finale. The committee does not have the balls to do that however, 1) choosing Bama over TCU and 2) pitting conference foes against each other in each of the semis. Glad they are expanding it so it's a mute point going forward. IMO Bama and Ohio St were the only two teams who could compete with Georgia and it's a shame the playoff has only been 4 teams to this point.
I didn't have any problem with the announcers last night...Of course, I was watching season 7, episodes 1-2-3 of Game of Thrones and then reading the latest Lee Child's Reacher series of books...
I started out with whoever was on the SEC network team, but my wife came in and switched it to the main ESPN channel, which had a different announcing team. I did notice a shift in tone, but it didn't really bother me since I don't much pay attention to them anyway. I generally do not know who is calling the action on any televised sports event and scarcely pay attention to them except when I'm drawn into a replay/review of something not clear or controversial. It didn't matter to me, but it was kind of a nice idea to have different broadcast teams for the audience to choose from if they care and have access to the other channels.
What an embarrassment. There is no parity in college football. The SEC dominates. I expect now with NIL and the portal teams with money can attract better players. So that should change things. But for sometime now the SEC has gotten the best players.

Seems worse when you look at it...
