I don’t pay much attention to Peter Von Panda’s videos but saw this one today. In it he tries to build or buy drivers to help his elderly parents.
Drivers for Last Tee Emeritus members
I pictured the title meaning Uber related.
Eguller Thinking who is the oldest (dude/dudette) here to qualify for Emeritus status? And then, where to donate?
Last Tee official statement is more loft equals more distance for typical geezers.
I would like to see a follow up video. With his folks hitting the new clubs and getting a surprise of more distance...
I'd like a little information about shafts used and flex of the shafts....
Subsonic Last Tee official statement is more loft equals more distance for typical geezers.
Not me, I hit an 8* driver farther than any 12* or 14* I've tried. I've also seen a study (but damned if I can remember where) where a lot of seniors do better with going for roll as opposed to carry, course conditions being normal semi firm.
Par4QC When I throw something down, it goes down, not up.
If I hit down on a golf ball sitting on a tee, it is going down. That is a promise.
Think he's talking about angle of attack. Pro's hit anywhere from slightly down (angle of attack) to slightly up. Long drive competitors hit up anywhere from 5-8 degrees.
LPGA players have learned to optimize distance by hitting more up on average. With the average swing speed being 94 mph and average course distances of 6600 yards they are playing longer courses for their swing speed than the PGA Tour.
I like more loft myself. With a swing speed in the upper 80's I want more carry. Need to carry bunkers and water. And playing in the early morning with the dew we don't get a lot of roll.
Golfers have to find what works best for them. For many there may be diminishing returns hitting too much up. My guess is anywhere from minus 2 to plus 3 degrees is the sweet spot for many golfers.
I play my Ping G425 10.5 at the plus 1.5 setting. Love seeing my drives take off high into the wild blue yonder. lol

raggmann54 I believe they stated pool-noodle shafts with extra noodley for the flex.
Weirfan My research and analysis indicated that the Last Tee Cul…ahem, Club, are becoming super aggressive with their recruiting. AARP level type of stuff! Be careful!
