Opinions needed: Best low compression golf ball
Cally Super Soft around 35 compression and quality is better than most. I play them with persimmon.
Wilson Duo
Agree on Callaway Super Soft. I also play Top Flite Hammer Control. I like them almost as well as the Callys and
can be had cheaper.

Honestly I love the Noodle Long and Soft. Great price, fun name, and made by Taylormade (would that just be Taylormade? )
Back in the day the Precept Laddie used to be low compression. Shot a 69 with one in the middle of winter.
+1 for Callaway SuperSoft. Picked up a bag of AAA quality balls on Amazon, 2 had club logos, one had a personal ballmark and the rest were perfect.
Maxfli Softfli...works best for me, even better than the Callaway SuperSoft...
Wilson Duo

37:25 – Updates to the Ball Lab Project, and why you should never play a matte finish golf ball
Pinnacle RUSH 40 compression.....great long ball for the price!
BTW, made by Titleist (Acushnet).
Srixon Soft Feel. 60 compression. Been playing them for years. Nice ball.

garyt1957 He says if they get wet they're higher launch and low spin?
These people doing all the testing....are genius.
Now, I want 1, just 1, of those geniuses to tell me why......
using a 100 compression ProV1x and a 60 compression Titleist TruFeel.....I get like results. From all facets of the game.
This is why I've not added my $.02 to this thread about 'the best low compression ball'. I don't think there is one.
I think in a blind test, where there were no markings on the balls, many would find they can hit a lot of them well, and the same. jmo

It's decent. Not something I'd buy again.
I was playing a few weeks ago, and pulled out a Kirkland. After about 6-7 holes, I realized that I was killing it. Going a good 10-15 yards longer with the driver and really good spin. Only then did I realized it was one of the original 4 piece Kirklands. Man, I don't really notice differences between balls, but those OG Kirklands were amazing.
The courses I've played most on have changed over the years and so has the ball for me. I used to play the Memphis munis which generally have open fronts to the greens and allowed a ball to bounce on. However, the city got greedy and the prices rose to the same level as nicer courses close by and so I just started playing the courses closer to home. These courses almost always have: bunkers guarding the front, water in front, or steep slopes in front that don't allow for a bounce or run on. So I used to use low compression balls, but now want more spin to fly that stuff in front without leaving all downhill putts. I've tried, but haven't found a low compression ball that doesn't bounce and run with my swing since the demise of the Dunlop LoCo. There may be some out there, but I haven't found it yet.

It's the ball I've used the past two rounds and I like it very much. Planning on it being my stock ball moving forward, which means Costco will probably discontinue it in 2023. It is not as soft as I like to feel, but all aspects of it's performance seems to work well with my swing.

I think that's the thing, the feel, for most people. If they feel 'soft' they like that and relate it to compression. Not always the case, and may even cause a loss of performance overall.
Last year I found a TaylorMade TP5X Pix and played it. #1....it was hard as hell to lose! But, it felt 'soft' and was just a great ball, which made me buy some over the past winter. Or so I thought; I ordered the TP5, and it plays differently, but still nice. The TP5 Pix is 85 compression. The TP5X Pix is 100!! Go figure, what with my girly SS. Same results as with any 60-75 compression balls I have.
I will say as far as a low compression ball goes, I did find a Duo this year and played it until 'gone'. Really nice and same as any other ball I used this year. 35 compression, iirc. I generally will never buy anything (knowingly) under 70 compression. I got the TruFeels (60) not knowing, but they are very nice balls.

scotts33 and why you should never play a matte finish golf ball
I played the matte Volvik Vivid for several years and really liked it. I did not see any performance difference for me but then I don't need or play an expensive high performance golf ball anywho. I would say that is true for the average bear as well. The Volvik in the neon goose crap green was my favoritie color. Years before that I played pink Noodle Ice which were very easy to see and never had anyone rib me about the color.
