johnnydoom Back on the rails a little bit. After looking at the thumbnail in the OP, I held my right hand out and bent my wrist outward and found that I can only bend it about 25 degrees in that direction. I can maybe force it to 30 degrees with my other hand. No wonder I’ve never had any significant level of power!
I suppose palm down may be more of a feel than literal, but for me at least it is not physically possible as the swing approaches contact.
Take a look at Impact Snap videos. Most that roll their wrists with the club face open on the take away do not have this "feel". Bad take away yields crappy position at impact. That's how pro's deloft, add distance, hands ahead, shaft lean, compress ball, solid center impacts. Once you get that "feel" and start compressing the ball it will be a light bulb snapping on moment. See Kelvin's student right arm.
