Apollo shafts

I've been using the Apollo stepped steel shaft for a year and want to know how it compares to the stepless steel.

pellmell According to the specs I just saw on a sale site, the stepless are 135gr. 😲
Stepped are 125.

The stepless plays a bit firmer :
Frequency 5 iron R-flex : Stepless 306, Stepped 292
Frequency 5 iron S-flex : Stepless 316, Stepped 302

I have them is a pair of wedges that I conducted an crude experiment with. I first cut them in between R and S...more of a firm if you will. The flight and feel was great, but they were 5 yards short every time. I quickly went back to stiff and lost a couple of yards full shot apex height and the distance returned. Regardless, of any of this babble if you can find these get them. They have a nice smooth feel. I don't feel that I get a lot of spin with the wedge/shaft combo, but they will spin and they are very predictable.

Par4QC woah! Nice to know there's something out there to match the weight of the Harrison stepless shafts I like so much...

Edit: Scratch that, in spite of what Grips4Less says they're actually 125g in irons.

AdamMH Swing Science has some heavyweights also. I built a set of the Acer Tour Blades with them, which my son has used for a few years now. I tried them. 1 swing. F me. 😲

Just checked around.....Grips4Less has the wrong specs. What they are showing is for .335 shafts, not iron shafts.

Yep, my bad. Looked at wrong use....335 are the 135gr., not the iron shaft. 🧐

The published weight in Hireko's Shaft Fitting Addendum is the same for both shafts.

Then again, I hadn't had coffee yet. 🤔

The old Balistic .370 was 135gr as well, but that had a 4" longer tip then the Stepless Std, so once trimmed to R/S those 2 shafts are about identical.
