sdandrea1 colej Who is entering the dimensions of the box? Nobody, as far as I know. When I place the ad, i choose "Pre-paid label" as my shipping option and when the buyer pays, I click on "Create Label". The rest is magic.
LogicalOne sdandrea1 You’d think that a company like that would have an algorithm to help be more accurate for the shipping base off of what is being sold, but maybe they don’t care. I do know that when I’ve done the prepaid label thing, I’ve always changed the weight shipping settings in the listing. The weight range seems to drive that price (and you can choose USPS or UPS) and I’ve always had the fear of Facebook back charging me or something. Lol
sdandrea1 LogicalOne I’ve always changed the weight shipping settings in the listing Didn't know I could. I'll check next listing. I'm probably going to get an adjustment charge.
Typhoon sdandrea1 I I've looked at irons and wondered how someone could ship me a set for $7.00 across the country...
Typhoon sdandrea1 That's the thing! FB gives me a prepaid (by the buyer) label for $5.75 and it ships, arrives with no issues. I'll take it, I just don't get it. Wow!!! Seriously?? I saw that on some things I was selling and thought is was bullshit. Figured I'd get to the post office and they'd laugh at me for more than the obvious reasons.
sdandrea1 Typhoon Figured I'd get to the post office and they'd laugh at me for more than the obvious reasons. The post office guy today saw the label was First Class (cheapest rate) and asked me who had the account. I told him it was FBMP and he said "this box size and weight is WAY more than First Class. Someone is paying the difference". ?????
Typhoon sdandrea1 Someone is paying the difference". ????? and you said.... ____________!!! A. Fucked if I know B. Huh? C. You never heard of $12 shipped?
Par4QC Subsonic If the P.O. took it and delivers it, and they say there is a discrepancy, it will be on the buyer to pay, before delivery. The ol' USPS way of biz. Then Steve will have hell to deal with. Like others that sell through the FBMP system.
Subsonic Par4QC I am not really worried about it. Yankin papaDs chain. I don't think USPS ever checks postage once it is in the system.
Par4QC Subsonic From my 'experiments' I've found they do not. I did 'test the waters' with 2 shipments one day because I was curious. And, that is the only time I ever pulled that shit on them. And I did tell them at the P.O. after the fact. Doubt anything was ever corrected in the system.
sdandrea1 Subsonic The real question is did papaD call the recipient with a tracking number... No need. All the tracking info is automagically in the FBMP system. Seller and buyer see progress. Once delivered, seller gets paid.
Subsonic Par4QC I have mailed some packages from my office that seemed short on postage to me, but pitney bowes said it was good to go. Package always got there and no chargebacks so...
ode Par4QC they do check, but it's random .... Had it both ways one package held at the PO here and one held on a package I sent. In both cases it was a small charge.
