I've watched some of these guys do repair work at various stores (where they do it out in the open). Sometimes I'm not surprised i hear about these failures. Another scary thought is the comments I hear from a shop owner who is critical about some of the new OEM stuff he has to fix when it arrives.
I'm not expertly trained, but cut and glue is not rocket science when you're careful about fit and prep.
