Par4QC L.A.B. putters are not a new thing. Been around for over 10 years. The recent OEM putters may well fizzle out, esp

UNCLE! I'm just trying to make the point that serious golfers don't HAVE to have the latest tech to putt their best. I thought John's comment earlier implied that serious golfers always seek the latest tech in putters. I disagree. It's just an opinion. Everybody else wins. I'm wrong. 😡😘😂

P.S. shopping for a L.A.B. putter as you read this
.😎

I agree, so don't misunderstand my reply above. Just pointing out that L.A.B. is not a new kid on the block in putters. As shown by this years new OEM offerings, they are the leader to be copied. But I'm saying they cannot be, with them holding a few patents that others cannot copy. imo, that makes these newbies irrelevant, their putters will not work as the L.A.B. do. Cheap pricing means cheap product...we know that. But people sometimes do not want to believe.

When I'm able to get around to GG, I will have a go at these new putters. If they are as good as the L.A.B. in their specific performance, I may well buy one.

Walterjn I came to that conclusion long ago, for $50 on a used Rife putter from somebody here. She’s still in the bag and it’s going to be tough to displace.

Par4QC what patents do they hold that can’t be worked around to duplicate the results? I’m not saying you are wrong, I’m just curious what they could possibly have done that’s so impossible to replicate.

I feel that either Tour Edge, Powerbuilt, Ray Cook..or someone similar will have a version of it soon and it will be under $200, maybe under $150.

From Golf Monthly: "...at the time of writing this piece, only one player inside the top-20 in the world (Viktor Hovland) has used a zero torque putter during a competitive round on the PGA Tour..

DC300 what patents do they hold that

Possibly the video fitting, or anything in the fitting procedure that no one else is using?

candukid JJ Spaun was (is) using one today and will in the playoff tomorrow.

Couldn't miss it. They're HUGE. I'd have to look down the shaft at one and see how I react. The set-back center shaft might freak me out.

Really??? You play Ping Zing 2 irons, isi irons and Eye 2 irons without complaining. The only iron more ugly was the Cleveland VAS. And you’re thinking the Lab will look funky🤣🤣🤣

Yes it is big, but like most clubs for me anyway, I forget what it looks like while I’m using it. You can’t just hit 2 putts with it and say it’s too big.

Years ago my rental set was Cally x hot irons. HUGE offset, top line and head size. I remember noticing it on the first couple holes but never again after that.

            Typhoon

I've only seen them on TV. I'm not saying their ugly, but they look huge. I agree that if they work well, you get past the looks......like those girls we chased in high school 😎

The setback center shaft orientation might be weird at first......

The new OZ putter gives you the option of offset shaft or straight in like normal center shafted putters with a Super Stroke grip.

I have the Df3, it does take a little getting used too, but as Typhoon said you don’t even think about it after a few putts. Mine is Cappuccino with the Accra shaft. I’ve had mine since December.

sdandrea1 they are Fugly but then I play a putter that looks like a spaceship🙃.....most of these "mallet" putters are awful looking. I think the goofy shaft config would take more getting used to! I will likely never see one in the live, but if I do, it's getting a tryout✅

                Baaab

Most importantly, can I pick my ball up, using the putter, without bending over?
