When you get to a certain age, your golf game doesn't travel very well. For many years, my teaching friends
and I would travel to Jeckyll Island, Ga. every year at spring break and play 27 holes a day and party every
night. After we retired, we stayed closer to home and took several trips to Gull Lake, Michigan for a 3 day trip.
Now, I'm just happy to play twice a week (with a day off in between rounds to rest the old bones!) at local
courses within an hour's drive.
If I had to choose a destination trip though it would be to Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, or the many beautiful looking
courses in Northern Michigan.
