ode I don't see the harm in it, but what use is it if golfer is not able to recreate it on the course!/?
Well, of course if you don't do anything about what you see it's worthless. But take me for example, I felt like I was losing yards based on my fitness level, SS, comparison to others, etc. But didn't know why. I went the way of older guy needs more spin and loft to keep the ball in the air. I now know spin is my killer and the reason I spin it so much is because I hit way down on it, like 4* down. Now, I can do nothing with that information and continue on my merry way or I can try to fix it. The ideal fix of course would be to fix my swing. But maybe I just try an ultra low spin head to help some and I pick up 10 yards? That's a victory to me.
ode To me golf is an outdoor game where my senses play a huge role in what happens. I'm in to the hole experience - walking, the weather, nature/outdoors, wild life, etc
Same here, I have no interest in virtual golf and wouldn't necessarily want to hit indoors on a launch monitor all the time. I'll try it again if I make a swing change or get a new head to try but certainly won't do it all the time, heck I rarely hit balls in the winter.
I haven't read through the thread yet but I'm sure they'll be posts saying I just swing/play etc and don't even want to know and that's certainly fine. Just move up tees till you can shoot a decent score and that's fine too. I've done that myself at the end of the year here and it's been fun playing the senior tees and scoring well and making way more birdies then I'm used to making. But come spring I want to play tournaments and those are white tees at least so if I can gain distance I'm going to try.
I get it, there comes a point where age, mobilty etc add up and there's pretty much nothing that's going to help but I don't feel I'm there yet.
