Gas Prices, am I right?!
$3.39 in my town but the station I usually fill up at gives you another .05 off for cash, so $3.34 there. Most towns around
here are still around $3.70 or at least in the $3.60's.

DC300 Yeah, I forgot about the cc rewards, on top of the discounts. I've got 1 right now that is at 5%, for a couple months. But, as I said, I last bought gas in mid July, and still have over 1/4 tank. Gas prices really don't bother me much. But I do cross over to Iowa, and use the discounts. Huge savings, even if it is once every couple months.

HyVee grocery stores have a great recurring promotion at least every other week it seems. If you purchase at least a set amount of groceries (usually around $60 to $100) you then get 30 cents per gallon off the price at their gas station. Sometimes the set amount is specific to particular products and sometimes the amount you get off the regular price changes but I've gotten up to 85 cents per gallon off the stated price when I filled up. I can remember one time I still had a half tank of gas but filled up the rest of the tank for $3.51 total.
DC300 I know the weather is nice, but I can not fathom living in that mess. Best of luck on your inevitable relocation.
It is a mess, but it is a beautiful mess. Having lived in two low cost states (Texas and Kansas), California was a shock no doubt. But where I live, we have 350 days per year where the weather is 60-80F and dry. 5 minutes to the beach. 90 minutes to the mountains. CA has warts, big ones, but it also has advantages you don't get anyplace else.
No plans to relocate, ever. However, I am looking forward to retirement and living off cash reserves for 5-6 years so that I can get every handout imaginable.
Paid $3.80 here in Northern VA, saw COSTCO was at $3.59 but the lines are still silly long
Also, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and all the other southern state with less expensive gas are full. No room here for you.
Costco was $3.42 the other day, about .20¢ cheaper than most stations in that neighboring city, which was about .20¢ cheaper than my local city. It shot up to $3.99 here a day or 2 ago.
Par4QC Dang, you must live in the boonies.
Boonies it is. I'm about 75-80 miles NE of Sioux Falls, SD, in farm country. There's nothing here but corn, soy beans
pigs and cattle. The town I live in has only between 2000-2500 people. What passes for big towns around here are
Marshall, MN and Worthington, MN. They both have a population of 13,000+. We're roughly 30 miles from each.
The only place of any size at all is Sioux Falls, SD (around 190,000).
All these low gas prices are a WIN!!
