Rickochet I grew up on a farm, and all my uncles were farmers also. Everyone raised hogs. 100's of hogs. A lot of castrations took place.
My Dad and uncles were young men in their 20s/30s during the Depression. They'd eat whatever was put before them, and made sure these were put before them, in the '60s. Good ol' fashioned cookout!😄
I was born early '50s though. And had plenty to eat, most times, without resorting to such things.
They also liked hog brains, after the slaughtering.
