Cook the whole package next time and put the left over bacon in a zip lock bag and freeze it. Then pull out how many pieces you want and nuke them about 20 secs. They will taste like they just came out of the skillet. Groceries also sell pre-cooked bacon that doesn't need refrigeration. It is more expensive than uncooked bacon but very handy when you don't have the time of desire to cook. One pack will do 2 or 3 BLT's. I also do this to sausage. I get a box of Pernell's patties (24 to a box). I cook the whole box and freeze the pattied on a cookie sheet. The next day put them in a zip lock keep in the freezer. To use I nuke 2 patties for 40 secs. and they taste like they just came out of the skillet.

Walterjn I'm too lazy to fry bacon all of the time. I lay it out on a sheet pan and put in a 400 degree oven for 10 - 16 minutes, depending on the thickness.

Rickochet nope... I want my bacon fresh from the cast iron pan. If I tried to fry and freeze bacon. I'd run out of bacon because I'd eat it all before it made it to the freezer!!! Besides, there are times that I want the bacon uncooked, that way I can weave it together to make a bacon mat for a burger or sandwich.

I didn't cook but I brought home supper. Friday is our usual pizza day and we usually order delivery or do a frozen one. Today I did a Costco run about 30 miles away for hearing aid repair and beef resupply. Usually after checking out we hit the Costco food court for lunch and usually get a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza. It is $1.99 for a huge slice and is the best pizza I have ever eaten and the two slices we get are more the enough. On my way out I got a whole pizza to go. It was $9.99 and was 18". I took it home and we stuck it in the refer and just barely squeezed the sucker in. At dinner time we took out half of the pizza and nuked it. It tasted just like it was out of the oven at the store. We now have another half pizza for lunch. I don't know what makes this pizza so good but they got the combo of crust and ingredients just right. 😛

Biscuits for everyone else - I didn’t want any. Got a pork loin roast cooking in the crockpot with butter, honey, garlic sauce. Never tried it, but the scent in the house is wonderful right now.

SWMBO got an air fryer a few days ago...So, after reading some ideas of what to cook we decided to cook some pork chops in this new gizmo...Outcome was fabulous - just right, moist and tasty...Might just do our part to prevent climate change and get rid of the gas stove...Probably not, but the air fryer is a keeper...Going to try left over pizza and day old fries next, heard that the air fryer does wonders with them...
