You have a strong left hand grip I believe. Which means youโll have more forward shaft lean at address.
Could be with the new swing thought you have less shaft lean at impact (earlier release), thus presenting the club face with more loft.
I have a very strong left hand grip (4 knuckles) myself. I have a lot of forward shaft lean at address. My swing thought is right palm down with a late throw release.
I have absolutely no feeling of face rotation or twist. My right wrist goes into extension in the backswing and into flexion with the late throw feel. Just like I would throw a ball.
If I want a lower ball flight I hold the right palm down longer. Higher ball flight I throw earlier. No conscious thought of any radial or ulnar deviation. These are all simple feels with very little swing thought.
Translation. My right wrist works back and forward, not up and down. Left hand / arm just along for the ride. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Lol
