bigshank Back then, never understood why they were called Top Rocks. A lot of balls were hard as they had high compression, and were mainly 1 or 2 pc.. Dunlop's Blue Max was the 1st 'soft' ball I can remember playing as it felt like mush compared to the TF balls. But they were very expensive. somewhere around $12/doz.. π€£ And we could get the TF practice balls for $5/doz.. We swung harder/faster back then, so no ball was really hard, and even so, those high comp ones would go the farthest when hit hard/fast. Balls like that still do. TF is probably still making the longest ball out there, but WTH is ever going to test the TF XL series? Or buy them?
bigshank oh my we played with some seriously shitty balls and equipment compared to today
Well, I don't know about that. In the mid 70's I could shoot 40 for 9 holes. Still can. I've learned nothing. π
