Brother in law and his wife were vaxxed to the max (second booster) and have just tested positive. Both are experiencing bad cold like symptoms.
It does seem the newer variants whether it be from being vaccinated or just the mutation being less severe do not attack the respiratory system like the earlier strains.
The earlier strains lowered your oxygen levels and if they dropped below a certain level you were in trouble. So, for now this is the new norm. Fingers crossed that the newer mutations continue to be less severe.
Don’t want to think that a newer strain will become more severe, but being realistic that certainly is possible. For now for the non immune compromised this seems to be manageable. A severe cold like illness compared to the alternative is manageable.
