He would need the 'round of The Open' or 'the round of the day' at least, while everyone else stands still. And that still probably won't be enough to play the weekend. Best case is that everyone would come back to him, while he shoots Par, and I'll refer you back to my 1st sentence, for that.

While the 27-year-old Englishman is still within striking distance, he wasn't too pleased with today's round — especially when it came to the pace of play.
Fitzpatrick's threesome including Tiger Woods and Max Homa finished its round in a whopping 6 hours and 9 minutes.
The PGA Tour average for a threesome round is 4 hours and 40 minutes.
"It’s sad, really. Should never happen in golf,” Fitzpatrick said after the round.

rsvman2 is it tiger hate? Or tiger coverage hate?? For me personally, I hate the extensive coverage that everyone just has to give him.
Especially when he is nowhere near the leaders. Yesterday, he was a featured group with Matt Fitzpatrick, and max homa. Today, that group is again a featured group, even though 2 are above par, an Fitzpatrick is only 1 under... Seriously now, why do I want to watch tiger play like crap?? I'd rather watch the lesser known players and see how they do. Honestly, if I have to watch a has been, I'd rather watch John Daly, at least he is a character.

Exactly. I turned it on yesterday morning and I see a couple shots then what? Tiger on the putting green, Tiger on the practice trap, yada yada. I actually feel a bit sorry for the guy now , but time marches on. Jack and Arnie still goy coverage when they became ceremonial golfers, as they should, but not like this.
And yes, from reading other golf groups on FB I realize how revered he still is by the younger crowd and he still moves the needle. Some of the comments from the Tiger crazies are unreal. I just like see them getting shot down.

Couldn't agree more. Tiger should become a ceremonial golfer and then when he has a good round or three like Jack did at 58 at the Masters, or Watson at the Open, or Norman at the Open, or even Els yesterday, THEN they should show his every shot. Now?

Better be watching then. Just made a lengthy eagle putt to go -1. He'll be getting quite a bit of airplay now, a lot of holes left. At least until he has a couple doubles in a row.

The Tiger over-coverage is a huge part of it ... but I'm also starting to feel a slight discomfort/awkwardness watching him play poorly. It hasn't, thankfully, reached the "Ali versus Holmes" stage (yet), but he's gone from playing "a game with which I am not familiar" ... to playing one I'm all too familiar with, and I wouldn't want to watch that televised either.

Absolutely. But not EVERY time he appears on a course! Or on the putting green, the range, etc. I enjoyed shots of 60 year old Arnold making a birdie at the Masters, whatever and it should be the same for Tiger. Show him, but not all 18 holes when he's not making the cut, and certainly don't cut away from live action to show him warming up. It's overkill.
Like I said earlier, IF he ever gets in contention in a major again then it's a story and they should show every shot, but now? It's really rather sad.
