Depending on what kind of player you are, the TS1 or TS2 could work really well for you. Ultimate forgiveness, look no further then the KE4 max.

If you want high launch, consistent and forgiving distance irons that are pleasing to look at, then look no further.

Can’t speak for the TS-1’s, but the TS-2’s are awesome. The other day I was hitting balls on my sim with the TS-2’s (my sim set), and was just hammering them. Out of curiosity, I grabbed the 8-irons from my PXG 0311XP’s, TM M5’s, and Mizuno Hot Metal 919’s to compare. The TS-2 was the longest by a fair margin, and had the best dispersion. Now mind you, all had different shafts. Nippon 1150 in the TS-2, KBS Tour in the TM, Recoil 95 in the Mizuno, and Elevate 95 in the PXG. I think I figured out my swing agrees with heavier shafts. Too bad the bounce is so low on the TS-2, they’d be back in the bag. They’re sweet on the sim tho. Look up Popeye on other forums, he seems to be the unofficial Maltby reviewer.

🤔 I wonder how you’d do with the KE4 max? Little more bounce on that head, compared to the TS2.

I’m actually thinking about reshafting the PXG’s with Dynamic Gold 120’s. Those Elevate 95’s feel great, but I hit some serious moon balls with them.

I like the TS-1's alot, although they are in the back up bag right now. They will get a shot again when I reshaft them, need heavier shafts.

I like the TS2. Generally I hit near the middle and then they feel sweet. If I get out towards the toe, they can feel clanky. I’d assume the TS1 is the same. They are accurate. I prefer the moderate bounce. All in all I think both models compare very well to the big name players distance models.

I am a late comer to the TS2 bandwagon. Played the KE4 Tour+ since they came out in 2012, really liked them. Went to the KE4Max and had a very odd experience. They are beautiful, and hit great from mats. But I struggled to make solid contact on the course. I think it was the rounded sole. I found I had to hit down more than typical. Tried the TS2 and they hit higher and I am much straighter with them. I really think it is the sole that threw me on the Max. They'd probably be perfect for someone with a steeper swing and/or softer turf.

I have been playing the TS1'S for 2 years now. Prior set was Maltby DBM'S. TS1's are not as forgiving but they are really close. Mine are shafted with KBS Tour 105 S-flex. I have shot most of my best rounds of all time with this setup.
