I, too. Had changed the way I play this game.
Used to be a time I refused to play anything less than 6400 yards, thinking it's not long enough to enjoy the game.
Now 6400 yards seemed to be a comfortable yardage and close to 7,000 yards would be a stretch.
Many fairway woods and hybrids ( yes, no 1 and 2 irons any more) to the vicinity of the green to have a chance of up and down. Instead of which part of the green do I want to try to start putting. For some reason, I'm more at ease putting these days, maybe the pressure was off trying too hard to make the putt to save par or birdie.
Less birdies per round , also less blow up holes for doubles and triples.
