Really nice comparison. Thanks for posting this Sneakylong! The next time I bought balls I was going to try the Chrome Soft. I think I'll order some Kirkland's instead and hope it still works at 100 mph driver speed.

Par4QC not hex dimples...they are standard.....looks like hex when you focus on the outside of the dimple, or the outl I ne, but they are round.

I just checked the Costco website to see IF they may have posted a 'guesstimate' for when the next batch may be available. POOF! The Kirkland Signatures are no longer listed meaning I couldn't find them anywhere on their website.

Think I read somewhere that the K-Sig uses older TaylorMade tech ... and is basically a TM ball of
some sort. Not sure though.

Heard something similar. Heard (Dennis Paulson PGA radio) it was a TM patent that Costco bought. Costco obviously under estimated the demand for a premium ball at a heavily discounted price.

Still have the ones I bought, have not been out to the course to try them yet though.

Maybe tomorrow? Everything is really wet right now with all the rain we had last week and there is more coming next week for 5 or more days (if the forecast is right), which means my tournament will be in the rain.

I think the consensus is the KSig started as the TaylorMade TP Red, then they added in a layer from the Nassau Quattro, it was then infused with a layer of the TM Lethal, and then an extra layer of the urethane was shaved off to make it less durable. Finally, it was coated with a human equivalent of catnip.

I retired my first one out of the box today after 81 holes. It still works fine but looks tired and has a little cart path rash on it.

Good job in keeping track of # of holes as well as keeping the same ball that long! I don't know if I have ever played a single ball that long!

Here's another comparison very similar to Shields findings. Interesting that both Crossfield and Shields found the Kirkland not as durable as Steve's finding. The only difference is swing speed and not sure if that would be the most contributing factor.

I find them durable from a performance standpoint, but they look "old" quicker than a glossy white ball. These start out as a dull white.
