I seem to have gotten it on 9/7. I say seem because I took two at home tests in the early days and both were negative. My doctor (well, the nurse practitioner) did an online visit and said everything I described looked like the current variant that they are seeing here.
Started out with tremendous sinus drainage down the throat and a real sore throat.
I have had decreasing amounts of that for the whole time.
Hardly any nasal or other sinus involvement. Not much in the way of headache. No fever.
Fatigue was a big deal until yesterday. I didn't have much energy.
Today is a lot better, I hope it's in the rearview mirror. But over the past few weeks, I've heard from other golfers here in our community who have gotten over it. They described feeling good one day, then no energy the next, for a period of time. So we'll see. All in all, if this is the current state of Covid for a 60-something with middle of the road health, then it's good news. It's a lot watered down compared to the early strains.
edit: I was prescribed ivermectin and it seems to have done a good job. I'll leave it at that so as to reduce controversy.
Some of the guys here have taken Paxlovid. It helped them but they complained that it gave them a real strong metallic taste.
