We have the EGO blower, trimmer, and edger with two batteries. 2 bat are a must. Plus have a B&D hedge trimmer--got that one before EGO came out. If we were buying now I'd definitely go EGO.

I had a Ryobi for quite a while. String trimmer and also had pole saw and weed ripper attachments. Worked great until the battery finally stopped charging and they didn't offer that particular one any more. I have a Greenworks now; trimmer and chain saw. Both work really well and the price was much better than other brands.

Battery powered? I wouldn't be able to finish my 18 acres in a week with that.

EGO lawnmower (56 volt 10 Amp he battery) & edger both work great. Also have a 40v Greenworks string trimmer & leaf blower. Added an old concentrator tip to the blower to make it more usable, the trimmer works fine

You would be correct. I have a 72" Gravely Zero Turn and a John Deere 4 Series with both finishing and bush hog mowers. I also have a 6 seater Kawasaki Mule.

I’ve thought about putting in my own practice facility of sorts. 200 yard par 3 with different sets of tee boxes but would have fairway all the way to the hole. Practice any type of shot I want.

As far as the batteries are concerned, if you have some that don’t charge, you should be able to take them apart and replace the small batteries inside. Up to youse if youse think it’s worth it?

60 volt Greenworks leaf blower and weed whacker here. They work great and the batteries last forever.

I bought an Ego trimmer and blower a year and a half ago. They seem to work well. I also have edger and roto tiller attachments that run on the same shaft as the string trimmer. Everything seems built to last and is trucking along so far. Haven’t compared it to other battery operated units and so don’t really have a clue where it ranks, but have also had no reason to want to look elsewhere.

Rebuilding EGO batteries is a bit (lot) more complex than that (search youtube EGO battery). There's one "generic" replacement battery maker that I've found. The one I bought seems pretty good after about a year.

Getting a generic replacement battery is a better idea than tinkering with a pack rebuild unless you know exactly what you are doing. A lithium pack has lots of safety features built in to protect from overcharging and keeping the cells balanced. You can easily turn it into a bomb if you screw up.

I decided to go with the EGO 56V trimmer/blower combo. The weed whacker has a lot more power than I thought it would. I was able to cut through some fairly thick brush and the thing just seemed to perform better the thicker it got.

The blower is nice. It too has a lot more power than I expected.

The only downside is that this trimmer is heavier than the old B&D I had, but that's to be expected with a more powerful unit.

I think I will be quite pleased with this one. Thanks for all the feedback. 🙂

I should get one(blower) for snow. I've used my little 20v B&D and it works decently on fluff. This thing should blow the wipers off the car.

PA-PLAYA the EGO tools should come with shoulder strap to deal with the weight of these well-built devices. You can buy one from EGO for $20 but it should be included

The blower that comes in the combo isn't as powerful as the one sold separately. The combo blower is much better than the one I had, but not sure how effective it would be to blow more than an inch or two of snow. Maybe dry powdery snow. The bigger one is probably the better choice, especially if you're not needing the trimmer.
