Part 2: Iāve had a chance to hit them. Unfortunately its raining, so I was limited to hitting in to my net and then the simulator at my club.
For reference i am using the same shafts that i had in my KE4 tour+. As Iāve played these since they came out in 2013 (?) i know them very well. A;; comments are compared to KE4 Tour+
Looks: sleeker, slightly more narrow top line.
Feel: similar but better.
Distance: longer due to stronger lofts.
Trajectory: as expected given lofts.
Forgiveness: since I rarely miss the sweet spot hard to say š. Seriously, I havenāt hit them enough to say. But Pete said they are more forgiving than the KE4 Tours, so I will believe him
Overall: just an excellent iron. An improvement over the KE4 tour+.
Only negative, and itās not really a negative, is the lofts. They are strong, in line with most other iron sets these days (but still not close to the OEMās ādistanceā lines). I now have to rework my bag. Ive played the same set up for 25 yrs - 5i-GW, 53 and 58* wedges, alternate 4i and 4H, then 3 H, 4 wood, driver and putter. The lofts of 5-GW- the 5 iron is 23* - covers what used to be 4-GW. So I have one extra club to fit in. Right now I am going driver, 4w, 3H, 5i-gw, 53 and 58, and will see what I need. Might try a 3 and 5 wood, and 20* hybrid. Weāll see
