I have a hard time with all of these charts, launch/spin, carry/total, etc. and especially if you hit 5i or Driver xxx distance, then times that by x number and whalaaa here is your yardage you should play from. PGA and LPGA are all elite. Hitting it the same/similar yardage as a PGA or LPGA pro should have NO bearing on where an am plays from, unless of course they want to, then by all means play the tips, etc! And those #'s are an average. What am plays, calculates/tracks their distances and reports accuratelyπ€. It's typically what they "can" hit it, not an average.
I'm 47 hit it 260...in fact the longest drive I've hit this year has been 259. That's mostly due to conditions. I can get it out 280+, but conditions need to be right. Even when I have averaged/tracked my distance, it's ~ 250's. That's all drivers hit, totalled and divided. What about non driver holes...do they factor in?
I play ~ 6400. Sometimes slightly less, sometimes more. So glad I don't feel the need to play the tips or play where the pro's do. It's non-sensical!
