Eguller Do you like heavy, med., light, shorter, longer, firmer, steel, graphite ? What has worked well for you in your 3 or 4 wood ? Thanks....
toraider Eguller I need a soft tipped FW and have always gravitated towards the SKF TT80 shafts for FWs. Can’t get those anymore so I’m auditioning Swing Science Series 200 shafts this year.
Dufferman I have been using the same "Manly Pink" NVS FW shaft for so many years. It seems to work for me so I haven't gone looking elsewhere.
shokosugi azgreg Funny you mention that shaft as I'm on the verge of going back to an dg s300 in my fairway. I found it soon too much occasionally but couldn't argue with the dispersion and consistent contact. Time to dig it out of the basement I think!
Jelopster Love the MCS 75 Blue shaft I’ve got in my 3w/thriver. Nice weight and enough launch without too much spin. I play it at 5w length.
Luc_Van_Daele Jelopster Love the MCS 75 Blue shaft I’ve got in my 3w/thriver Same here in my thriver, 5w and 7w.
Rickochet Jelopster Love the MCS 75 Blue shaft I’ve got in my 3w/thriver. I have those in an R flex in a full set of iDrive hybrids. I got another set of A flex ones to put in some Acer React hybrids. They have a very nice feel to me and very consistent in weight and flex with small spines. I have not tried them in a wood yet. My favorite wood shafts at present are the Diamana's in any weight.
scotts33 toraider I need a soft tipped FW and have always gravitated towards the SKF TT80 shafts for FWs. Can’t get those anymore so I’m auditioning Swing Science Series 200 shafts this year. Swing Science 200 Series L, A, R, S 70g at 46" is a savior in filament wound good quality won't break the bank graphite. I find them much the same as good SK Fiber when Charlie Blume owned SK Fiber.
Spuzz toraider Swing Science Series 200 These are good and my second favourite after my Accuflex Icon FH and slightly ahead of the SKF TT90. FGS shafts are also up there too, if you like lighter fw weight. 🙂
sdandrea1 potbunker What is a 3 wood?😜 Amen. I think it's like a 3 iron........obsolete in geezerville.
mulegolf potbunker What is a 3 wood?😜 I have what is called a 3 wood but it's not really a 3 wood. At 16° my TM M2 HL 3 wood is actually a 4 wood as far as I'm concerned. It has a Fujikura Pro 55 shaft in sr. flex, which I very much like.
KCee Oban Devotion 7 04. Figures my fave is high end, but at least it's one of the cheaper Oban shafts. Would love to find something that works as well for less, but I can't imagine it would feel as smooth as the Devo. I used to love the old Icon FH. Accra had a nice HF? shaft too.
JoeHatesSnow Used to be RP Saber Tour Vector 75 and Aldila NV 75. Now I use Aldila Rogue Silver 70 I/O and Tour Green 75.
JoeHatesSnow backinit JoeHatesSnow Still loving the RP Sabre Tour Vector 75S. I still have my Cleveland Launcher TI 13* and Launcher 17* both with that shaft in a backup bag. Honestly I could put them into play any time and not lose much from my Callaways, which are excellent and not going anywhere. I think I'll have to dig the Clevelands out a time or 2 this season though just for the hell of it.
