Who here remembers this shaft? ~ 2013...

Been hitting it well with some decent numbers with a PP Warp Speed fitting driver. I like the matte color and subtle graphics on these....I don't think I could go with any of the modern XCal shafts given how ugly they are, but ??. What else played like it? Anyone have a profile?

fatshot I have Tour 7 in an Indio head. I think I'll pull that one for a fwy wood project. The one with the matte black and silver accent. Good looking shafts back in that era!

I had one, didn’t care for it at all, very dead feeling and I got exactly none of the promised performance. I heard how it was low launch/spin, anti-left, blah blah blah, felt like the old pro-launch blue, and was nothing more than an average shaft for me. Wanted to like it, just didn’t work out.

The 7+ felt much better, but was definitely softer.

Hmm that’s very odd. From what I understand, the pro 6 (tour 6) is based off the old grafalloy pro lite profile. That shaft for most people is plenty stiff.

I know there were like 3-4 models of that 6 shaft floating around at the time. I’m curious to which one you had.

colej I think the 6+ and tour/pro 6 are different🤔. I do remember posts about the tour/pro 6 being a slightly stiffer tip then the prolite 35.....wanna say Robin himself posted on WRX about this!

Yes they are different the 6+ is softer in the tip. I just wanted to know if DC had the 6, 6+, or the 6 tour. The tour is one modeled after the pro lite (if I remember right).

colej I believe I had the tour, I know I went for the lowest launching one they had. At the time I was swing around 120 at standard length, so fast, but not crazy. I just couldn’t make that thing work for me. I left it at 46.5 to start so I could tip if needed, pulled and tipped twice before giving up. It just wasn’t for me.

ode ok, for an amateur that’s pretty darn fast, in comparison to the real golfers of the world it’s nothing special.

I was obsessed with club head speed because I was doing some low level LD contests at the time. I was much higher with that.

DC300 when you were at your peak, what were you revving it up to?

The highest reading I ever got was 136, don’t know if that was perfectly accurate or not, but low to mid 130’s was pretty common across most monitors. With some ideal conditions, I got the ball over 400 yards a few times. The best I got in a LD contest I can recall was 381. It was fun, I still get it out there, but nothing like that.

ode thanks. Honestly if it hadn’t been for Chuck, ie BigDaddy13xxx I would never have had a clue what I could do. He set me up with some LD clubs and it came to me really easily, he added about 50 yards to my drives in a day 😂. He was a big hitter at the time, had all sorts of toys to try out and some tips to get going.

I wish I had the discipline to work out and the money to pursue it more at the time. I won a local, which qualified me for regionals, but I didn’t have the money to afford entry, gas and a hotel at the that point. I believe I could have competed at a fairly high level if I had been dedicated enough to push past the obstacles.
