Well, fact is, he did it, single-handedly. Whether by design or by accident (??), is debatable imo.
The PGA was never going to cough up the cash they just did. Never. But, they have done much harm, imo, to the Tour as a whole, what with sponsor problems going forward. I can see some tournaments folding in just another year. Our own JDC here is in negotiations for new contract now. If they have to throw in more money, and get even lesser players, they may fold their cards. And I would not blame them. We get shit on every time something goes on like this, and it fell in tons this time. Other places are in the same boat.
imo, the JDC should look to the Korn Ferry Tour, instead of the PGA Tour.
