Golf Central is completely unwatchable now. All they do is complain about the LIV tour… one person after another, then they find someone to interview and ask them ( as long as they complain about the LIV tour). They’re like a bunch of old ladies. I’m done with Golf Channel.

Typhoon I've avoided it this week, but apparently for the wrong reason. I just assumed it would be a week long Rory love fest and a campaign to push him for POY or something along those lines. What you describe is even less watchable.

Typhoon I’m done with Golf Channel.

      Volume off for tournaments.
      No Golf Central, ever.
      No Bacon/Hack.
No School of Golf (Hall is annoying. O'Neal is fat/pregnant. Neither of their heads fit on my 32" TV)

If they stopped showing LPGA and DP Tour events, I would cut it off asap.

        Spuzz LPGA

That's all I've watched on it during the past 3 weeks. I don't mind School of Golf, but it is never on when I'm in front of the TV.

Par4QC old man strength. He gotta him some forearms as long as he can turn a little to target he can still move it out there.

ode I do think he plays better now, than when he was younger. Doing 'old man' shots, as you say, not trying the 'cutsies' required in youth. Hammers that ball.

johnnydoom I had it on for a few minutes last night and yesterday morning. Saw nothing about Rory…. You wouldn’t have known the Tour Championship was the day before. All it was was Trip Isenhours giant size tongue flapping around his mouth talking about the LIV Tour…. Then he split screens with Rex Hoggard who starts bitching about LIV.

          I’m done.

Typhoon Agreed, haven't watched GC in some time, not since the new format & people. The heavy-handed PGA Tour, not watching nor visiting their stores. Lost me. I'm sure they care and are aware.🤔

Smith said that he has not resigned his Tour membership, even though he will be suspended by PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan when Smith tees it up Friday in the first round of the 54-hole event. The same will be true for the rest of the defectors (Leishman, Joaquin Niemann, Harold Varner III, Cameron Tringale, Anirban Lahiri) who make their LIV debuts this week.

Have I forgotten the rules already? I thought they could play non conflicting tournaments without seeking approval of the PGAnahan? They now have to ask every time they need to wipe their asses?

Article from June below explaining releases.

            https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/baltimore/news/pga-tour-suspensions-liv-gof-international/#app

The PGA Tour does not allow releases for North American tournaments. This weeks LIV event is in Boston. You are allowed 3 releases a year for outside North American tournaments. And they always reserve the right to say no.

So the latest defectors are breaking the rules, so they’ll be suspended.

Typhoon All they do is complain about the LIV tour

I see they are now running "blood money" ads that are basically a political campaign against LIV.
The ads aren't GC ads, per se, ( Justice for 9-11 Veterans or something) but they must need the money and agree with them to put that BS on air. No place for it on a Golf Channel, imo.

Sneakylong The PGA Tour does not allow releases for North American tournaments.

OK, I did remember it correctly, although it made no sense when I was thinking that. And it still makes no sense if the PGA is on an off week, and no other tournaments are going on. Korn Ferry should not count as it gets no national coverage.

Sneakylong They would be playing a hell of a lot of tournaments in order to accumulate the points, when combined with the LIV tournaments they have to play.
I guess they love playing every week after all.

Question is....can the U.S. PGA members of LIV (join DP) play all the DP tourneys and make points for our team??

I see that it didn't take long for Cam Smith to become entitled after pocketing all that oil money.

"boo hoo, we should get world ranking points too, boo hoo, who cares if we're playing scramble formats and playing lift clean and place every weekend, boo hoo, it shouldn't matter if we're only playing 36 holes...

                  boo freakin hoo.

The irony in all this, that I find incredibly amusing...

In his pursuit to destroy the Tour, Norman is actually making the Tour better. 😂

So when this LIV thing dies in a few years, Norman will do what he's always done. He'll take all the credit for the added purses on the Tour.

Because that's just what egomaniacs do.
