ode potbunker can't say I'll miss the likes of Adam Scott and Lee Westwood. Enjoy the blood money boys!
garyt1957 It would be interesting if it was somewhere other than Saudi Arabia without the political context. Might change a few more guy's minds. But the US sells SA weapons, we buy their oil, not sure how anybody can judge the players for going or not. Why should they be criticized for not taking a stand when their own govt won't.

sdandrea1 I still think TV coverage will either make it or kill it. If it's on Golf Channel Sunday mornings at 7AM.........bye bye.
raggmann54 sdandrea1 Saudi's will just buy their own channel in the U.S. if they don't get on a major one...
Rickochet sdandrea1 I still think TV coverage will either make it or kill it. If it's on Golf Channel Sunday mornings at 7AM.........bye bye. That may be a good alternative to watching the weekend Euro golf on Sat. and Sun. morning which I don't fine appealing.

sdandrea1 From Twitter: Just spoke with my GM Chip. He has confirmed he’s starting a breakaway league that will compete on Tuesday nights. Claims he has commitments from Cathy Spunt, Dan the UPS man, and two other “big names” (that he wouldn’t disclose). This is clearly war. 😂
potbunker Shocking! The ownership of Bedminster and Doral are in talks with the Saudi's as US tournament sites.
livegolf I don't understand the drama about this and the PGA Tour looks silly for responding the way it has - this is like a job offer for the players. Leverage one employer against another and the PGA Tour acts like it is the only business in town when golf should be about how good the players are, no matter where they play. If I were on tour I'd give it a wait and see approach.
PA-PLAYA Just as the players have the right to determine when and where they play, the PGA Tour has the right to protect their own business interests. A handshake and loyalty used to carry some weight. Not anymore. It's all about "me getting mine."
Eguller PA-PLAYA " My house, my rules " Let's trash the vehicle that made us famous ( and wealthy ). Yeah, that the right thing to do.
