The only thing keeping this alive is the sensationalism currently.
As it is, few watch the PGA Tour even with the popular players, and even fewer would tune in to watch the "can't be competitive on the big stage so why not" tour.
This was doomed to fail before it even began, but the PGA Brass continue to give these smallest flames more air. If they'd just be quiet, this would flame out rather quickly.
Who cares where Phil, Westwood, Sergio and a few others are playing next week?
