In the shadows of what was naturally a difficult loss for Bama, I think their freshman QB, Jalen Hurtz, answered a lot of his critics over the past week. This kid, some of us forget, is a freshman.... he had to endure all of the so-called experts over the past week say things in the press, like, "Bama is gonna win despite having an inferior, inexperienced QB," etc. Had it not been for Jalen Hurtz' remarkable talent and situational awareness last night, this game would not have gone down to the wire.
But I can't help but be happy for Clemson. Their receivers made some very timely, difficult catches that last series to extend their winning drive.
You put these two teams on a neutral field for 10 games, each of them would probably win 5 times.
About as close as you could expect it to be for that game, that much at stake.
