Tipping a TM Sim Max Ventus Blue shaft

Looking for advice on tipping this shaft. Its a 5-R, regular flex and would like to tip
it to play more like a stiff. I am thinking 1 inch tip trim. Hoping someone has gone
down this road before and could share their wisdom on this please. Any advice would
be much appreciated. Thanks!

Is this a pull from a factory shaft installed into the shaft adapter from TaylorMade? If yes, TM tips their shafts 1” on their installs into shaft adapters. So if you tipped you’d be up to 2” which may or may not help you.

Start with a 1/2" tip first. Then if that's not enough, go to 1".

Don't forget you'll have to add length in the butt (or weight in the head) to maintain swingweight.

If it's actually pre-tipped, I'd try it as is first. It might meet your needs as is.
