sdandrea1 DonM I make them hard by choosing very random starting words and then fishing for letters by reusing dead letters. I don't have the patience to only use live letters. Git er dun.

DonM sdandrea1 Yeah I hate staring at the puzzle and grinding on it. It's mentally easier to just blast two to three elimination words into it and then try to solve it. But lately my first words have given me to much to ignore. When you already have 3 letters, it seems pointless to try 5 new letters.
Spartan DonM It seems like when I don't use one of standard second words, things seem to go awry. I've decided I'm better off sticking to my regular strategy.
sdandrea1 DonM When you already have 3 letters, it seems pointless to try 5 new letters. Agree. But when I have 3 letters, I've been known to use them along with a known dead letter to find a 4th good letter. Some folks want to solve in the fewest rows. I want to solve 6 or less in a minute or two.
