  • What clubs have you guys targeted for this golf season

I bought a Cleveland cbx 2 56 degree wedge to hopefully add a little forgiveness to my full wedge shots say 70-90 yards. Coming from Cleveland rtx4. Also ordered ping g410 22 degrees hybrid which is adjustable. Hoping it out performs my M6 hybrid. The M6 I find to be wildly inconsistent for me. I have hit off a tee and caught some weird bombs that rival my driver like 240. It seems low spinning and I hit too many low knucklers that also are unimpressive especially from tight lies. Anyways pretty happy with the rest of my bag

  • A Mavrik Max 5 wood has a strong chance to make the bag. It will make the rotation or sure.

  • The PING G400 Max is being challenged by several drivers for 1st slot. Mavrik & TourEdge Exotic are contenders.
They will have a hard time to dethrone the King. 😉

The XXIO Prime 11 driver, Cleveland CBX 52, Cleveland Smart Sole 58, Odyssey 2Ball and PING NOME are the only secured items. Everything else is subject to get ho'd.

JeffTilley Guy I fit a couple weeks ago came in tonite here at indoor golf with his 0211 irons. I'm tellin ya, for $77/club with the MM graphite shafts... such a deal! Soles are not narrow but the offset and topline looking down at them at address look sooo good. Almost like a players iron. He had the 0811 driver too and that set up nice and square with a great head shape.
Anybody looking at getting new clubs should buy these.

I bought a set of (lightly) used Ben Hogan Edge CFT irons just before the end of the season. I had
one practice session and only one 18 hole round with them before the weather got too bad to play, so
I'm excited to get out next spring and break them in. Initial reaction is GOOD!

I also just ordered a Maltby STh2 #5 hybrid from Golfworks today. It should fill in the gap at the higher end
of my bag between my fairway woods and the irons. Hope to have it next week.

Given what Bob Parsons was charging for irons a few years ago (XXIO-like $), $77 per club in graphite is practically giving them away at or below cost. Think he'll admit they were originally over-priced? What does that say about his claims of uniqueness?

sdandrea1 These are not the ones he was selling originally. If you want those, you can still pay $275/club.
You know you want to. 😅

sdandrea1 Oh I agree... I still can't stand his voice or commercials. He thought he shit ice cream and people would flock to his clubs. People are dumb,,, but not THAT dumb. He could be selling the 0211 as a loss leader and making it up on the Gen 4 etc... but he's not losing money.

People think they are better than they really are... at least 75% of golfers could play their best golf with the 0211 and save a boatload of cash.

        I may try a 7 wood.

If I get a bit more consistent with my driver I may upgrade. The PXG 0211s and the Gen 3 Protos are priced so well they would be tough to beat. I could even run down to the new Philly location for a fitting and avoid shipping cost.

I’ll probably also build a DTG Odyssey 7 clone to see if I like a mallet vs the blade I play

sdandrea1 You're going with 2 putters in your bag??? Let me know when that 2Ball loses its POON and is ready for an all expenses paid trip to Western Pennsylvania...And for goodness sake, stay off I95 in Virginia...I hear they have no snow plows or road salt...

My NOME will be returning home to Florida soon, so the 2Ball might be available. Stand by. 😉

I95 between Fredericksburg and DC is a dumpster fire in perfect weather. Add snow and it just collapses.

Not really targeting anything right now. Pretty happy with my setup - outside of a shaft change or two. Might get one of those new Maltby Max wedges when they become available.

I think I'm set for driver, irons, wedges and putter, but I may try a new fairway(s) and hybrid(s). I loved my old XR16 3W, but even though the newer Mavrik has the same shaft and build, it's missing the poon. Same thing when I replaced my XR16 OS 3h with a Rogue X 3h. I need some sort of club(s) for when the tees are up on the doglegs and driver is too much.

I'm pretty sure he still has some models that are crazy expensive Like $275 per iron.
