I ship hundreds of packages every year. I use the PP app almost exclusively, and have used the new one. It comes from the USPS, and the settings are what have put there. I put in the info as requested, print label, ship. If they are cheated, in any way, it is on them.
The PP app is not the same as the one on the USPS website, using Click n Ship. But, do not worry about anything, they lose money either way. Just ask them. 😄
A triangle box that you input dimensions of 5 x 6 x 45 is deemed to have a girth of 22". By their computer programs.
Besides all that, no one, anywhere in their system of shipping, is going to pull out a measuring device on a box with a preprinted label. Unless you hand it to them over the counter when paying in person.
"Oversize" does not kick in until the cu. in. go over 1728. L x W x H. 6 x 6 x 48 is it. I used to buy bundles of 5 x 5 x 52, in order to ship overlength drivers. Well under 'oversize'.
ode hose dimensions cannot be entered on the PP app. It has to be entered like a 4 sided box.
