I here ya Par4qc, we had this awesome 18 holer in New Hampshire called Passaconaway. I started playing a lot there a year after it opened. It was close to the MA border but not near a major highway so it was off the beaten track. I could get a tee time whenever I wanted… I could call Thursday at 5 pm and ask for 9 am on Friday and I would get 9 am on Friday. Place was never busy…until….
After a few years they started booking outings, so once in a while Fridays were out. No biggie. Then all of the sudden they exploded with outings. They had staff only for looking for outings. It got to the point where there was one almost every weekday, couldn’t play until after 3.
Haven’t been back since.
