Well, Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey agree these bowls are meaningless (to them) by declaring they are both not playing and starting their draft prep. Fournette announced he has signed with an agent and McCaffrey said he has 100% support of his teammates.

I'm thinking some of these guys may be thinking to avoid the kind of result, injury, that occurred last year to Jaylon Smith of ND in his bowl game.

The University of Tulsa deserved a better opponent. There are 3 High School teams in Oklahoma that would have fared as well as Central Michigan did.

FauxAmish I haven't dug deeper but I wonder if McCaffrey will play in one of the Senior All-Star games. Same type of risk of injury.

mikeintopeka Doubtful. A bowl game with one's own team has always been a more prized affair than a one-off highlight reel game of all stars.
