Par4QC Given that it affects the WRONG Pros, I'm doubting it will be implemented, by the PGA, even though they've said they will.
Par4QC If there was more feedback, PGA players speaking out against the new driver length rule, the PGA would most likely never use it.
You may want to see if Vegas will give you odds. I think the Lions may have a better chance of winning the next three Super Bowls.đ
Aside from allowing the tamping down of spike marks - I seem to recall significantly more complaints/snide remarks when the 2019 rules updates were announced (primarily about accidental Caddy positioning while lining up putts) ... and those were adopted. They've always been adopted, haven't they? Is there any precedent of a USGA rule not being implemented? đ I would be curious to know ... out of the estimated 25 million US golfers, how many play in USGA sanctioned events where this would be monitored, and how many of them use drivers over 46"? And of that, I'm guessing, relatively small number, how many will care if they have to trim off .25" or .5"? I doubt it's more than used anchored putters.
