They are at the point where they can only end up with "Tour" equipment, and that will be limited to very few points...lengths is something they can get a handle on. Very few, if any other, points they can look at. Lofts of irons could be brought up as they are easily changed. Would all OEMs make special equipment for the Tour bags.... how could they with what's going on in manufacturing? USGA cannot/will not come out and say clubs have to be manufactured to meet their specs. You do not bite the hand.
I like the way Phil is carrying on about it. It's not for him at all, but for the future gens of Pro golfers. He won last weekend with a 46", or less, Mavrik driver of all things! He just doesn't want to see all the bullshit come to pass by the USGA. Maybe, he will start the 'new' government of the PGA.
