Ours went up 10 cents last week and another 10 cents this week. Now $3.55 a gallon. Thanks _ _ _! Come on man, this is getting ridiculous!

They, are the radicals amongst the Nations in that region. Yes, they had been killing each other for centuries as long as the history has recorded. From using stones and sticks to the bronze age and steel age weaponry, to the projectiles in 19th century and to today's satellite controlled warefare.
In fact, if you studied the history, almost all major warfare were rooted from fighting for resources. Only a few was caused by a few personal ambition. Modern day global strategy is no different. Wild animals will fight and die for food, human being is not that much different.
Root of all, can be traced back to over populate on this planet. There is basically no frontiers any longer and I seriously doubt there is another planet out there similar to ours within the same time laps.
So we'd better learn how to manage what we have. As simple as managing a family budget. Which means tightening the spending/expanding first.

European storage levels were already low, about 25% capacity. this limits their capacity to buffer any supply disruptions. While Europe only relies on about 4% of their oil coming through the Straight of Hormuz , other countries depend on a lot more. With Europe's storage already very low and possible supply disruptions they now have to compete with other nations ( who rely much more heavily on Middle Eastern Oil and cargo through the S of H. ....such as Asia who gets 50% + )

as such the combination of potential scarcity and competition has driven up the price

professor Food and shelter are the base where everything other desire leaped from. No other desire will even come to mind when one is starving.
In fact, as much as I love this dilly game of chasing a little white sphere around pastures, it will have to come after all other priorities.
I basically quit this game when my children were in school for higher education. I cut back on this game at times because we have other priorities.
I, would give up most the other temptations in this world to enjoy the game but, priorities of my family comes before everything else.

A month ago it was $2.54 here, then went up .20. Today it was $3.49. Tomorrow will be higher. And so will it be on Friday. No doubts. No blaming. Life!!

Everyone complains when temps go too high also. But they always come down again....same day mostly 🤔😉. IYKWIM

jsippy73 Thanks, I don't mind if someone insist on making a fool of themselves. The world is not perfect. I actually re-learned how to accept these when my children were in Kindergarten, their teacher was bringing them to accept every kids of all kinds in their classroom. One kid in particular had emotional issue and his mother insisted on giving him a "normal childhood" by not enrolling him in the special needs school; which in term slowed down the whole classroom because he needed constant extra attention from the teacher. I did not understand why the mother did not send the boy to a special need class, but i get it now. At the time I was pretty mad, thinking this kid delayed the learning of my kids and every other kids in the classroom. I understand now it is a learning experience for my children to handle and accept special events later on in life when they step into the society.

Then you provide your 'history of the world' - not just the Middle East and expand upon that with a comment about overpopulation. Huh?
