Ours went up 10 cents last week and another 10 cents this week. Now $3.55 a gallon. Thanks _ _ _! Come on man, this is getting ridiculous!

Acorrding to Tesla, I'm spending $.35 per gallon. I'm guessing that's based on charging hours, miles driven and cost of charging.

I wonder how much "energy" derived from fossil fuels is needed to produce the electricity needed? I don't know except that my electricity continues to rise in cost.

Weird here…. My usual place is still $2.76 but other places i sometimes go to when working that are normally $2.76 are all up $2.90 or more.

Walmart gas here must be run by some teen, ranges from $2.43 to $2.86, at times the next day. Got to get somebody who throw darts better.

After what seems like weeks at $2.39 at my closest Shell station here in Houston area, the cost today was down 6 cents to $2.33 at the pump. I get 10 cents a 10-cent-a-gallon reduction with my Shell card so I paid $2.23

BobA Can't recall the last time I did not get gas at Shell. Had to be years ago.
My card is hooked up with my grocery store. 1 time I had almost $2/gal off after a big grocery sale.😉
Kind of odd that the grocery chain has it's own gas/convenient places, yet card can be linked to Shell.

Par4QC In my early Air Force days, I flew T-37s on the side while flying B-52s. AF couched as experiencing young pilots. We called it chasing women on weekends in strange towns. Planes have credit cards in the forms, and we would use to pay for fuel anywhere except airports with Shell. We were not allowed to buy Shell aviation fuel; at times this was an issue finding places to refuel. I then stopped using Shell personally and can't seem to buy Shell gas.

AF never told us why Shell was on the outs.

Par4QC That was the case for a long time here as well. Our Kroger was linked to Shell, even with some Krogers having gas pumps on site. Not sure that is still the case.

My father retired after 45 years with Shell as the head of their accounting department. I bet I haven't bought gas other than theirs a dozen times in the 50-plus years I've been driving.

Back to the topic...prices... I drove past today, and the sign was back to $2.39 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Par4QC Our Krogers don't have Shell stations, but our Shell stations have a 0.10 a gallon discount with Kroger card (assuming you've spent over $100 at Kroger since last fill up). Ain't much but it saves a couple of bucks. I always use Shell anyway just because they issued me a credit card when other gas companies wouldn't for some reason. Have only bought other gas when driving through regions that don't have Shell stations.

Par4QC We were very cost conscious back in the day, plus the jet only carried 309 gals. the B-52, not so much. As a 1Lt, I made around $19K and thought I had made it.
