professor re you suggesting that price is a function of supply and demand?
😄
We know in the case of gas prices, that probably is not much of the case.
About the only products that go down in price during holiday seasons/weekends are edibles and drink.
If the supply/demand thing held true, those prices would probably double.
So no....on gas S&D pricing during holidays. Just simply good business strategy. Plus, I doubt they shut production down during those times, so they will be paying more labor costs(holiday pay).
I notice gas prices fluctuate at various times all year long during no special times, sometimes. 'What the market will bear' must be the true driving thoughts on pricing. Sometimes even the fluctuating price of oil does not coincide with the pump pricing.
And potato chips purchased at Dollar General appear to be 2nds.....crushed/broken. And the butter top bread there has a much deeper crease along the tops of loaves.
I do pay attention(sometimes) to things in my life. 😆🤣
