Not necessary. If it was truly known, just how much oil the U.S. has, there would be no blaming any other country(s).
We seem to have the need to hoard, in fear of attack. And that is all it is there for. The petroleum companies do not own many wells (I should say fields) in the U.S.. And, they do very little 'exploration' on their own dimes. And that is why they do not own them.
So, if we have to pay out the ass for fuel, why should our money be going out of the country??? I'm personally, not afraid we are going to be attacked. Even then, all the fuel in the world will not save many of us.
Start the pumps....fire up the refineries!! (figure of speech, of course😅) Take my money for U.S. citizens!!
