Nat I haven't seen it, but Greenberg claimed on this morning's show that they saw a video angle that confirmed McLaurin's story, including the thumbs up from the line judge.
If true, it's ridiculous. As a line judge you can't tell somebody everything is ok and then throw the flag anyway. I get that calls are missed all the time but this feels different.
I also agree that they didn't take advantage of scoring opportunities. When theu went for two they ended up with zero. Then there was the fumble at about the ten-yard line that made it so they couldn't at least get a field goal. And finally, the fact that in the first half they allowed the Giants a 97-yard drive.
Yes, they did a lot of things wrong, but I would argue that they scored 18 points, not twelve, after what I heard about that stupid illegal formation call. The play was a simple off-tackle running play and McLaurin was standing about two yards from the sideline. He had absolutely nothing to do with the play.
