I had not heard/read that. I’ve only read the police report. Battery definitions vary by state. Sometimes defined as “harmful touching”. You are normally allowed to only take reasonable measures required to defend yourself (and even your personal space). So, If a frail 100 year old woman slapped your face (inflicting 2 ounces of pressure), you would not be justified in countering with a roundhouse kick to her temple. 😆
