Sneakylong What it says is you were wrong about Caleb.
Uh NO....it does not say that nor show it at all!!
He is no better than other Bears QBs have been, worse than some. He made a few, if not several, really bad throws today, along with last week. I did not say bad passes. (You may be 1 to blame weather conditions, much as you might blame something for playing bad golf.) 2 of those bad ones today were end zone plays. Thus, 14 points less than they had. It is the QBs job to put the ball in a receiver's hands in those instances. Vast majority do.
The 1 thing that he does that irritates me is that he will 'lead' when throwing into closely guarded/tight quarters.....they are not open field plays. That's a 'numbers' throw! And he's got by with it regarding INTs. (For the most part.)
The biggest turnaround in Caleb's game, and the Bears as a whole team is Johnson and his staff.
I'd swear that fella on the bench beside Caleb all day, with the headset, was a psych coach!! Telling him he is a good QB. Esp. after the bad throws.
I will continue to 'ride his ass', if you don't mind. And will never be on his bandwagon. He is just not that good. 17/36-154 yds., 1 INT today proves me correct. He hit a helmet 2 times(1 INT) and had 2 more batted away.
