I generally agree. KC has to, if they want to be elite again, improve their O-line first. And as it regards Travis Kelce, he's never been a great-strong blocking tight end. The decisions to cut loose those older All-pro's on the downsides of their careers is difficult. You know they've lost a step but, their veteran savvy makes up for what proportion of the physical skills? That's a tough call. I know I was really pissed when the Eagles let Rian Dawkins go! A complete player at safety, a hitter, with experience, leadership, and total dedication...? Yeah, tough decisions. If I'm the Chiefs I keep Kelce but I'm bringing in his replacement asap. Likewise, as I'm familiar with the Eagles roster, I won't mind if they use their 32nd pick in the draft to bring in Dallas Goedert's eventual successor. Goedert's not as far along as Kelce but the luxury to be proactive is nice.
