Sneakylong Lamar got better once he learned to look to pass first then run. Robert Griffin III comes to mind where his body couldn't hold up with all the hits.
Excellent comparison and great point. Yeah, Jalen Hurts concerns me because he doesn't just scramble or "tush push" which I think is actually pretty low 'impact'. But when he runs, he runs as if he's a running back. Yes, he's fast and really strong. But that's how he got concussed and brain trauma accumulates. I'll be surprised if he plays against the Cowboys, even if he clears the protocol.
Lamar Jackson has really improved and changed his game and approach over the past 3 years. And yes, he can read defenses. Earlier in his career he got that bad rap that he wasn't a passer. Critics are too quick to judge, especially QB's because it takes quite some time to become fully competent at that position.
