Oh, you mean like Mahomes, whose success is mostly out of the pocket, creating plays? Or, Lamar Jackson, who does the same? Or, Josh Allen? Seems to me there are a bunch of old-guard NFL followers who seem stuck in the Dan Fouts, Dan Marino, drop back, stay in the pocket, almost statues compared to most of the QB's today. 2024, the norm has moved to the mobile QB.

Right now, yes, but they're both free agents once we get to the offseason, and both will be significantly more expensive than they have been this year. Even if teams don't think he's a starter, Fields is likely to get a contract in the Brissett/Darnold range from this year (around $10m for 1 year) at a minimum. Wilson's market should be above that - wouldn't be surprised if a team offers him something like the Mayfield contract from earlier this year (3 years/$100m).

Manning is still my favorite. Yes Brady has outdone him on many records but that year that he (Manning) threw 55 TDs was something to see.

professor Yeah, the Jets destroyed Darnold so badly he was statistically the worst QB in the NFL for several years in a row. Carolina isn't exactly a plase to solve QB problems.

I wonder if Zach Wilson might have been serviceable lf he had not gone to the Jets? He was nomwlrsw than Darnold was, and the Jets actually won more of the first 16 games last year than they did this year with AR at the helm.
