Sneakylong Par4QC I watched HBO’s Hard Knocks with the Giants mid season show. Management really screwed up. They bet on Jones and lost. Someone has to be responsible for that decision. They were looking at moving up to grab a QB in the draft. But decided to stay with Jones. They went with Jones over Barkley. Big mistake. Even the owner questioned that decision. Again, management is everything in pro sports. And this management team screwed up big time.
MartinD Par4QC By my figures, $41M max. if they pay him til end of season. Jones' salary of around $35m for 2024 is guaranteed, so the Giants will be paying him the best part of $2m each week for the rest of the season. There is a potential offset if he signs with another team, but that just means that Jones is likely to sign for the veteran minimum (similar to Russell Wilson's contract with Pittsburgh for this season), leaving the Giants responsible for almost all of that guaranteed money.
Bravopilot MartinD $82M of 160M is/was guaranteed thru this year. Next year on the contract was an option essentially.
ode professor i.e. he's a metrics twat, always has been. Good coach but a twat when it comes to going for it on 4th. Won't hesitate to do so, but often puts his team right under the bus.
rsvman2 He has some skills. He was tossed into a horrible organization, for sure. He can make some good throws, but he sometimes makes poor decisions, and he loses the ball too often. He's a lot better than Ridder. There are probably a few teams that would like to hava him as a back-up.
PA-PLAYA To be fair, Jones played for three different head coaches in his first four years as a pro in NY. He never stood a chance with that much dysfunction.
professor PA-PLAYA To be fair, Jones played for three different head coaches in his first four years as a pro in NY. He never stood a chance with that much dysfunction. Lol, I hear you. Interesting how Jalen Hurts gets ripped in Philly because of all the offensive coordinators he's been paired with - "to be fair".
professor jsippy73 Duh, he plays on the defense. Yes, that what the word "And" is for. It' means I'm changing the subject from the comment about the offensive line to the performance of the defensive line, namely TJ Watt.
sdandrea1 Commanders still look flat, disconnected. They're up 3-0 against a bad football team, late 2nd qtr. Not moving the ball.

sdandrea1 professor It's November. It's akin to "moving day" on the PGA tour. I'm not happy about the current "movement"🤬
professor Best Ending Ever! Wow, okay... miracle, idiotic blunder, miracle, another miracle, another idiotic blunder, then another. Just wow! I'm not sure the best team always wins, not after watching that!
professor Par4QC Chicago did exact same play. Which one? There were many game-changing plays - maybe 4 or 5 in the final minute. To what play are you referring?
professor sdandrea1 For Dallas fans........ Huh?! Dallas sucks. Their coach is atrocious. They'd be better off with Rush. Cut Dak lose and let him look for a job too. LOL
