I found his comments on the defensive side more interesting. Talking about Ray Lewis, Ronnie Lott and Rodney Harrison etc. and how offensive guys need to protect themselves more.
Also, the NFL is looking into whether to penalize the hip tackle. Too many guys getting hurt from that.
“At October's league meetings, NFL executive Jeff Miller said that the hip-drop tackle boosts the risk of injury by 25 times that of a standard tackle. “It is an unforgiving behavior and one that we need to try to define and get out of the game,” Miller said at the league meetings.”
